Who: Kierra Conner
Where: Indianapolis, Ind.
What: Trip to Cambodia
Why: Mission trip for The Creek, her church
“They have big Rapha Houses that rescue girls from trafficking, and we were there to help support the staff and to do devotions and stuff with the girls. The last day we did some sight-seeing stuff, but mostly, we were there for them.
"[My favorite part was] seeing the girls laugh and smile and stuff, and just hearing, well, you can’t specifically get their back stories, but you kind of get the idea of them, so to see them finally be happy and out of that was nice. It definitely gave me an appreciation for all we have here. America is awesome.”
